Good cooked English breakfast

We had a lovely stay with a spacious room and friendly staff, exploring the nearby charming villages. Enjoyed a delightful breakfast and the comfortable atmosphere made it a great family getaway with our kid. The location was also perfect for day trips.

In my wife’s opinion, the bathroom could really benefit from non-slip mats for kids’ safety.

I stayed for a group gathering and enjoyed the hot buffet breakfast, which really set us up for the day. The local scene had some charming pubs nearby that were great for unwinding in the evening. it was a bit disappointing when our room keys were deactivated before we officially checked out, forcing us to get help to access our own room. it was a fine experience with some room for improvement.

Floors were solid, so no annoying squeaks during bathroom trips. It felt homey and had everything I needed for a cozy stay.

the staff were super friendly and helpful, made us feel really welcome. the classic double room was clean and comfy, perfect for us. the village is beautiful and quiet, a nice escape from the city. we enjoyed the food at the restaurant, especially the carvery. overall, it was a lovely stay and we’d come back for sure.

the shower pressure could've been better and the toilet flush needed a bit of nudging. also, the bar seating area was kinda weird and small.

Had a lovely stay with my partner. The staff were super friendly, really made us feel welcomed! Our room was spacious and super comfy, loved that big bed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, especially the fried options! Only thing was that the upstairs hallway was a bit chilly, but nothing major.

I left feeling refreshed and eager to return!

Just a top selection for a budget stay in Steyning with high value for money. The breakfast had a massive selection of fruit and cold meats that impressed us. Try to book dinner early if you're planning to eat at the hotel.
